1. Difficulty in gate stripping

In the production process of injection molding, because the gate is easy to get stuck in the gate sleeve, cracks are not easy to appear, resulting in damage to the injection molded parts, which seriously affects the production efficiency.

The reasons are as follows:

1. The smoothness of the taper hole of the gate is poor, and there are knife marks in the circumference of the inner hole;

2. The raw material of the injection mold is too soft, and the small end of the taper hole is deformed or damaged after a period of use;

3. The spherical arc of the nozzle is too small, resulting in a riveted joint of the gate material.

The workaround is as follows:

1. The operator can knock the nozzle of the injection mold with a copper rod to loosen it before demoulding;

2. Since the taper hole of the sprue sleeve is difficult to process, standard parts should be used as far as possible for production, or the taper hole should be ground to Ra0.4 or more;

3. Set gate pull rod or gate ejector mechanism.

Second, the mold guide column damage

The structure that plays a guiding role in the mold is the guide post, which can ensure that the molding surfaces of the core and the cavity do not touch each other. It should be noted that guide posts are susceptible to damage and deflection during machining.

The cause of the problem is as follows:

1. The wall thickness parameters are not uniform, the flow rate of the material passing through the thick wall is large, and a large pressure occurs here;

2. The side of the plastic part is asymmetric, and the pressure on both sides is not equal.

The workaround is as follows:

1. The guide post cannot be used as a force member or a positioning member;

2. Standardize the manufacturing process of the mold, and design uniform and reasonable wall thickness parameters.

3. Fixed and dynamic mold offset

During the working process of the injection mold, the fixed and moving molds may be offset, which will eventually lead to rough surface and damage to the guide post. When the situation is severe, the guide posts can be bent or cut off, and even the mold cannot be opened.

The cause of the problem is as follows:

1. The charging rate is different;

2. When the mold is installed, it is affected by the weight of the mold.

The workaround is as follows:

1. Add high-strength positioning keys, such as cylindrical keys, on the parting surface of the mold;

2. Pay attention to the verticality of the guide column hole and the parting surface, and ensure the concentricity of the movable and fixed molds during processing to reduce the verticality error;

3. Ensure that the heat treatment hardness of the guide post and guide sleeve meets the design requirements.
