Why do tryouts?

There is no way to see with the eyes whether the plastic mold is good for injection molding. Generally speaking, when the mold is designed, it will not be used directly as a product, because it will have one kind or another defect after production. But this kind of defect is unavoidable before manufacturing, and it is likely not to be stored and processed during the manufacturing process, so we need to pass the mold trial, and then analyze, evaluate and optimize the samples produced by the trial mold to meet the high quality requirements. However, defects in molded products are mostly caused during the plasticizing and injection molding stages, and may also be caused by improperly manufactured plastic molds. Therefore, in order to avoid product defects caused by mold design, it is necessary to analyze mold design and process parameters during mold manufacturing.

What are the consequences of a large number of tryouts?

Although the process parameters and mold design of the injection mold can be optimized, it also increases the production cost of the injection mold. If the injection mold structure is found to be unreasonable after the mold test, it is necessary to improve the injection mold, which will undoubtedly make the injection molding cost exceed the budget. For example, some injection molds are well designed, but the craftsmanship is not in place. When the best molding process and injection mold are not selected in the test, it is obvious that the mold is doing well, but the product after injection is not good. This often happens without a complete understanding of the physical properties of plastics and accurate shrinkage rates. What makes people vomit blood is that many situations are not satisfactory, and even the injection mold has to be scrapped and remade.

How to reduce the number of mold tests?

The number of mold tests for a mold set depends on the following:

1. Whether the optimization of customer product structure is perfect.

2. Is the street evaluation of mold drawings perfect?

3. Whether the processing technology arrangement of the mold parts is reasonable.

4. Whether the mold processing process control is appropriate.

5. Whether the scientific test mode is effective.

6. Whether the improvement plan for the test mode problem is strictly and effective.
